- Family & sharing data — information needed to operate family groups, including which members are in a family and shared library activity visible to that family.
- Community activity — listings you create to swap or donate books, and related messages with other readers.
- Device & usage data — device type, operating system, app version, and basic usage analytics to help us improve the App.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and your library;
- Sync your library and reading progress across your devices;
- Enable family sharing, book swapping, and donation features;
- Personalize your experience and show you relevant reading goals and suggestions;
- Communicate with you about updates, support requests, and service changes;
- Monitor and improve the performance, security, and reliability of the App.
3. Family Sharing & Shared Data
When you join or create a family group, certain library and reading information — such as titles owned, reading status, and progress — becomes visible to other members of that family group. Notes and bookmarks you mark as private are not shared. You can leave a family group at any time from within the App.
4. Book Swap & Donation Community
If you choose to list a book for swap or donation, the listing details (such as title, condition, and approximate location) may be visible to other Librix users so they can arrange a swap or pickup. We do not share your exact address; arrangements between readers are made at each user's discretion.
5. Data Storage & Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party providers (for example, cloud hosting or analytics providers) to help operate the App. These providers only process data as needed to provide their services to us and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You may access, update, or delete your library data at any time from within the App. You can request a copy of your data or full account deletion by contacting us at the email below. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws.
8. Children's Privacy
Librix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through the App.
